2022 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • January 31, 2022: Go to www.colgatewomensgames.com to sign up for updates. 
  • March 1, 2022: Complete digital entry form on www.colgatewomensgames.com to be eligible to compete. Completing entry by March 15 is encouraged.
  • March 19, 2022: Registration Day held at D’Angelo Center, St. John’s University, Queens, New York, where participants pick up their complimentary Competitor’s Packet, which includes a competitor’s shirt and bib number (must be worn during competition) as well as a bag of Colgate-Palmolive health & hygiene products. 
  • April 3 & April 10, 2022: Preliminary meets held outdoors at DaSilva Field Track, St. John’s University. Same day registration is available prior to meet session – with confirmed digital entry.  
  • April 16, 2022: Semi-Finals meet held outdoors at Icahn Stadium at Randall’s Island Park. Registration is closed for series.
  • April 24, 2022: Finals held outdoors at Icahn Stadium at Randall’s Island Park.

COVID
Guests 12 and over: show proof they have received at least one dose of a Covid 19 vaccine.

All guests under 12: must wear a mask outdoors. 

Masks are not required for athletes while competing. Everyone wears a mask while indoors.

Colgate-Palmolive Company launched the first official Colgate Women’s Games in 1974, with 5,000 young women from the New York area participating in the initial series. Today, thousands of registrants from all over the East Coast compete. Preliminary meets and one semi-final competition determine finalists who compete for trophies and educational grants-in-aid at the Finals.

ELIGIBILITY
All young women are eligible to participate in all preliminary meets. School-age girls, grade 1 and above, must be enrolled in and attending school to participate. Participation is free!

WHY TRACK & FIELD
Track and Field is a fundamental, entry-level sport with broad appeal for its tremendous health and mental-wellness benefits.  It builds confidence and teaches discipline and perseverance.  No expensive equipment is needed.

AGE/GRADE DIVISIONS
Competition is divided into six age or grade divisions: Elementary A (grades 1 through 3), Elementary B (grades 4 through 5), Mid School (grades 6 through 8), High School (grades 9 through 12), College/Open and 30s-Plus.

EVENTS
There are nine events: 100-meter dash, 80-meter hurdles, 100-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter run, 1,500-meter run, high jump and shot put, depending on grade division.

LOCATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS
St. John’s University will host Registration Day and all preliminary meets. The D’Angelo Center and DaSilva Field are both located at the Queens Campus at 8000 Utopia Pkwy in Queens, NY.

Icahn Stadium will host the semi-final and final meets. Icahn Stadium is located at 20 Randalls Island Park on Randalls Island in New York City.
